Global demand for electric lighting is expected to reach $ 40 billion in 2012 on annual earnings of more than seven percent. Savings emerging from China, India and Russia is expected to be the fastest growing markets for electrical lighting products through 2012. Driven by increased income and rapid growth in nonresidential construction, these three nations account for 40 percent of the additional demand generated between 2007 and 2012. The greatest gains come from China, which is expected to be growing market the world's largest and fastest for electric lighting.

Fluorescent lamps are expected to account for most growth through 2012, the average benefit higher growth of non-residential construction as well as greater penetration of residential markets. The segment of incandescent lamps are expected to grow slow, limited by decreasing the production of motor vehicles and weaker residential construction (the main market segment) and increased competition from fluorescent lamps driven by the energy-efficiency concerns.
LED lighting devices are products are expected to fastest growth in all regional markets in the forecast period, as these products continue to penetrate the markets work and manufactured goods.
