For serious question ......? avid readers

I read every night. What, in your opinion, was the Longest Lasting booklight for you? Me seems to replace the batteries every week! Opinions? The one I'm using now, I've purchased on Amazon, unfortunately, is called, PhormLight and is also an LED. But I clip on, and is heavy and I know I'm not using up the batteries, and lighting ranges from bright to dark, especially if I have to adjust. Thanks for all your suggestions! Ck1-I LOVE Slate as well!

I have to say, usually I do not like the lights that clip on the books and run on batteries. I use a light to be connected, but it gives a balanced light spectrum. The light is on all day and night (probably around 18 hours a day) and, in a year, I had to replace the bulb once. This is http://www.firststreetonline.com/product.jsp?id=16640 I use. I love it. However, if you want a clip on type, I suggest http://www.firststreetonline.com/product.jsp?id=42464&from=48422&pos=2 from the same place I bought my full spectrum light or balanced. I've never had problems with this store (First Street), and say it takes 40 hours of continuous use in three piles AAA. Put it this way because they are behind their products and whether to get a book of light that runs on batteries, this is what I choose. LED's, too. LED lights do not heat up, and last much longer than regular bulbs do. Hope this helps. *** Addition: Since you have had no luck with the clip in the type of book, maybe you should try another as I have been using (if possible). They have another guy who is connected, but the clips on the edge of a table or perhaps a headboard. Is may have actually received a faulty light, too. You could try the light like the previous poster, too. Here's a site http://www.slate.com/id/2157756/ book reviewing some lights. It may be helpful.
